Co-Curricular Activities

House System :

There are four Houses in the school namely Agni, Jal, Prithvi and Vayu. As all these elements of nature sustain life, so the four houses Agni, Jal, Prithvi and Vayu sustain harmony on the school campus and help students to develop into global citizens. In order to achieve this aim every student from class I onwards is placed in one of these houses. Each house is headed by one House Captain. A member of the staff assisted by other teachers acts as the House Master. Points are awarded to the participants for various House activities throughout the year. At the end of the session winners of co-curricular activities are awarded prizes along with a certificate. The Best House of the year is awarded a Running Trophy.

Celebrations of all Festivals :

The house on duty at the time of a particular festival celebrates and presents it. Children wear colourful dresses as per the festival and celebrate it with great pomp and show. They also present songs, talks on various occasions.

Special Assembly  :

All the classes from I to XII present special assembly. These assemblies include moral talks, current issues, skits, dance performances, songs, prayers and much more. Class assembly focuses on providing a platform for the students to expose their hidden talents.

Annual Function and Bal Mela  :

The school conducts Annual Function every year which includes prize distribution in academics, sports and various co-curricular activities being held in the school through out the year. That is the time where our students exhibit their talents on the stage with performances that leaves the audiences spell bound. We at SDPS also organize Bal Melas giving opportunities to the students to perform in various activities other than academics and sports. These Melas bring various social groups together which is a speciality of Walled City Area which comprises of diversities in terms of language, religion, caste and regions.
